Dennis and Edna Taylor hosted their 4th annual June ride over the
weekend of June 6-9, 2019 at their friends Mick's camp across the road from their farm near Branchville, Indiana. The plan was to go for wagon rides
on Friday and Saturday which would allow everyone to go home on Sunday. The weekend was damp with rain overnight each night. The days. however, weren't
bad and we only got sprinkled on a little bit each day while out riding. All of the wagons and buggies had tops on them which kept everyone pretty dry. We were
in one of those weather patterns where there are a lot of little popup showers with heavy downpours in one area and no rain at all just a short distance
away. The temperatures were very comfortable with highs only in the low 80's, unlike the prior year when we all roasted in the heat. We had 10 wagons on the
Friday ride with a 6/4 split between the wagons belonging to our neighbors from Kentucky and those from the Hoosier state. A few folks had other things
to do on Saturday and they went home. As a result, we only had 8 wagons for the Saturday ride. So, although it was a damp weekend, we were able to harness
and unharness each day without getting wet. From the comments I heard as people got ready to leave on Sunday morning, I think everyone had a great time and
are looking forward to our next opportunity to get together and do it again!!
